When I accidentally hibernate my machine (or is runs out of battery power) without disabling the boing client the percentage of the work unit is displayed wrong. While the graphic display shows the right one f.e. 0,44% the manager comes up with 400% etc.
How can i make it showing the right values again?

Newest client

Which version?

Debian lenny

Same question, plus 32bit or 64bit?

Do you have any preferences set for "Suspend work if no mouse/keyboard activity in last X minutes"?? If not, try to use that. It's there especially for entering low-power mode. (Why do you continue to run BOINC when running on battery? That'll zap the battery immediately. Try using the preference to run only when the computer Not running on battery as well as the above preference)

As for the percentage problem, which project is this with?
What happens when you fully exit and then restart BOINC?

Thanks for helping!

Kernel 2.6.26 32-bit

"Suspend work if no mouse/keyboard activity in last X minutes" sounds not like a preferable option as I especially want Boinc to run calculations when I don't use my machine (although I don't mind when they're running in the bg).

I have seen this problem with most WU from projekts like Rosetta, Einstein, Climate-Prediction. I guess it's a problem related to the Boinc-Manager itself, as the graphics of the WE shows the status correctly. The messages however sometimes contained hints that the WU might be corrupt.

I cancelled some of the WU now and a new one coming from WCG (Clean Energy Project) is also shown correctly again.

Guess I'd need to take more care before hibernating my machine but wouldn't mind if Boinc could handle hibernating machines or show appropiate error warning when a WU is/might be corrupt.

The trick with that preference is that BOINC suspends before the machine hibernates, to avoid problems. So, you'll have to set that preference to something a bit shorter than the span set until hibernation.

[edit]That's assuming the hibernation is automatic, not caused by some button pushing or lid closing.[/edit]
