Hello All,

Can anyone tell me if Boinc is always running in Windows XP or do I need to have the Boinc manager icon in the task bar for it to run.

Many thanks

You can stop running BOINC Manager, but keep BOINC running. To do so, when you go File->Exit, make sure you do NOT mark the option to "Stop running science applications on exit of Manager" (or similar words). Then the underlying client will continue to run.
