OK - that could well be the issue for them, like a number of the smaller projects, when the database server goes bump, their home page vaporizes.

Thanks for the information regarding Einstein -- that is one of my CPU alternatives to Aqua, in fact I've a couple of workstations which only have Aqua and Einstein for CPU projects. Here is hoping that Aqua comes back to life on Monday, elsewise, I'll need to feather in one of my other CPU projects on those workstations.

Aqua went AWOL this morning -- no access to their home page or anything else (about 4 hours ago - 7AM PST).

Aqua has been working up new application versions which have been causing problems (for clients and for them) so it is possible that dealing with this is the underlying issue at the moment.

They also posted worries about a possibly degraded hard disk yesterday.

Aqua remains offline - might well be the drive problems they reported last week -- a lot of that going around (Collatz and SETI in the past week or so).

Now POEM is offline - problems started about 3 hours ago, then they were back online for a bit, and offline again. No access to their home page.

CPDN main project and Beta

The IP changeover of the CPDN and Beta servers is mostly complete. The Beta server is again up and running as is kraken, though there is such a backlog of files to upload that kraken may show on the server status page as down even though it is in fact running. Milo thinks that uploader.oerc may still be problematic.

It is good that our computers (our Boincs) are detecting the new IP addresses automatically. But if you have a BOINC version earlier than 6.10.22 you may need to exit from BOINC and then restart it before uploads resume. Thanks to Richard H for pointing out this possible problem.

Thank you to all members for your patience during the server outage.

Aqua remains offline - perhaps a full up drive replacement plus RAID rebuild or restore is going on there.

POEM seems to be back online (as of this morning).

They're on it. Front page now says "The AQUA server is being reconfigured. Please wait."
