Sample BOINC applications for NVIDIA/CUDA, NVIDIO/OpenCL, and ATI Stream OpenCL, together with instructions for building on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, are now available. Thanks to Tuan Le for developing these.

Sweet! Two questions:

  1. Where is a download link?
  2. My eternal question: is it possible to build and run the ATI stream app without ATI hardware?

Where is a download link?

See the Wiki page for how to get the Source Code. All the 'links' in the article are sub-trees of the source code.

My eternal question: is it possible to build and run the ATI stream app without ATI hardware?

Building should be possible, but running a stream application without an ATI GPU is going to be near impossible. If you're aiming for continuous emulation, you can better build a CPU application as they tend to do the work faster than the emulator does.
