ok you linux users.. i got a problem that looks so simple but i'm stuffed if i can work out what is not set..
tries to connect to localhost..
comes back unable to connect..
now i think it may be my firewall setting but this is my first linux box in 7 yrs and i've only played with mandrake 9.0 a little when it first came out..
I'm running mandriva 2006 with dsl connected via eth0..
I have not given my comp a name and only set eth0 to log to dsl not logon withit as its logged permanently..
any ideas would be great..
woman in stress here..

not sure if this is the answer
you will need to run the boinc client first
then you will need to run the boinc manager application
on my system is
./run_client - for the boinc client
./boincmgr - for the manager
