Hey there,

Ive got a little bit of running the Boinc manager properly:

I installed Boinc and I still havent figured out how to let it work correctly. :-(

I downloaded several WUs, but the Boinc-manager doesnt compute them one after another.

After finishing the first one (progress 100%), this unit stays "active" and doesnt change its status to "ready to report", even after letting the manager run for 2 days! o.O

When I stop the work-unit manually, the status switches to "suspended by user" and the next WU will be started. This is acually the only way to compute several WUs, but this is a bit clumsy...

This results in a list of 100%-progress-WUs with a "suspended by user" or "pre-empted" (when restarting them) status.

Upload of these 100%-progress-units is only possible, when I restart the Boinc manager. But any new calculated WU wont be uploaded until I restart the manger once more...

So finally I have to start every WU "by hand" and even the upload has to be done by restarting the manager.

This is not the way it should work, as no work is done, when I dont help out a little bit.

Smells fishy...any ideas please?

Thanks, Flox

Seeing the amount of problems Rosetta still has, have you reported this on their forums?

Yup...I have. But as it's possible that it might be more Boinc-manager-related than Rosetta-related, I decided to post here as well. ;-)

Most likely a bad WU. I'd abort it. I run a whole bunch of projects with no problems.
