My OS HDD is almost full and their is not enough room to run BOINC.
I have a huge different storage HDD where I have installed BOINC onto.
But it is still trying to utilize the OS HDD / Disk and thus won't run.
How can I tell and set BOINC to utilize the large HDD disk with lots of space on it?

You do this at installation time.

Un-install BOINC with your OS's program for install/uninstall.
Re-install BOINC.
On the 3rd screen, click on the Advanced button.
Use the 2 options there to say where you want to install the 2 parts of BOINC.
( MUST be different locations! )

See also this post for an image of that screen.
