Message 31919 - Posted: 2 Apr 2010, 22:30:24 UTC

I am currently running version 6.10.37.

On page 'http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/VersionHistory',
you mention that this is the latest version.

However on page 'http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php', you say the latest version is '6.10.18'.

Perhaps there is a link missing somewhere?

Version 6.10.37 has been called back "to the factory" :-)

There was no major problem with .37 more like an accounting problem where they forgot to add a few changes that were supposed to be in that version. They got the bookkeeping straighten out and barring anything unforeseen, version 6.10.43/44 should be released within a few days as the new recommended version.

Correct. (Cosmetic) changeset [trac]changeset:20772[/trac] never made it into branches/boinc_core_release_6_10 for v6.10.43

It didn't make it into v6.10.40 either, as I reported to boinc_alpha on 19 March. It's one of the classic 'overlook' errors, where a client change is hidden under a server-only checkin note if you only look at the one-line version of the logs.

I think the eventual decision was to let it pass, as it was a cosmetic bug only affecting non-default message logs, and I was the only nit-picker likely to report it :-( !

Yes, I am also running my PC 24/7 and I did think that LHC would be sending out work, but not to me apparently.

I'm probably repeating myself somewhat.

On page 'http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/VersionHistory', it is mentioned that 'Version 6.10.44' is the latest version.

However, on page 'http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php', the latest version is given as '6.10.43'.

Perhaps there is a link missing somewhere?

6.10.44 is for Linux and Macintosh, 6.10.43 is for Windows. So it's correct information, Windows will eventually get a newer version as well.

You could've gotten that info from this thread as well.
