Hi,

I am running Fedory Core 4 for quite some time now and almost everything works to my satisfaction.

I was running the Seti@home client for a long time on my system and recently had to change to BOINC, since the old Seti client has been discontinued.

The new boincd is running great. However, it does not get cleanly stopped, when shutting down the system or on system reboot. I am almost sure, that the links /etc/rc.d/rc6.d/K50boincd and /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K50boincd (links to /etc/rc.d/init.d/boincd) do not get executed on system shutdown or reboot.

The problem with this is, that the related BOINC lockfile does not get deleted an boincd does not start at next boot due to the existing lockfile.

When I run the script /etc/rc.d/init.d/boincd manually with eighter the start, stop or restart options, everything is fine.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks a lot

Heinz
