Have 3 projects running, when I try to update them using update, suspend & resume or reset I keep getting this "Note: Not requesting new work or reporting results" message (am trying to get more work) all 3 projects have done this. The only way I have found is to Detach and then reattach to it. Is this a bug? Are there any known workarounds?

Equipment:
Dell Inspion 9300
1.5 Ghz Pentium M
1 Gb RAM
100 Gb HD
Window XP (up to date)

Any ideas?
Thanks

If you have have the default setting for the connect time of .1 days with a broanband connection, you probably already have enough work on hand.

If you want to keep a larger cache, go to one of the accounts general preferences and increase the setting of 'Connect to network about every'. This is a global setting that effects all your projects. With three project you should not go to a number greater than 2 to 3 days. This will give you a cache of 6 to 9 days of work. Don't forget to do an update of project on which you made the change for it to take effect. Don't do any other manual updates for a day of two to give all the projects a chance to sync up the new preference setting change.

As an aside, I found that Boinc works best when you leave it alone to do its thing. If you fiddle with it too much with suspends and No New Work or project shares changes, it has to continuously redo its calculations to try to meet your expectation, and never gets a chance to settle down into a routine. Changes can take a week to be rebalanced.

Will give that a try and go from there. Sounds like it may work. Thanks. Have a great day.
