hi there,

i allowed Boinc to usage 100gb disk space and 90% of my memory, but it barely uses it!!!
i´ve got 4gb ram and it uses about 36%.
bytheway: where exactly does Boinc use disk space, in it´s installation folder or else where? can i somehow change that (i´ve got an old hdd which i never use, i could totally use it for Boinc).

Boinc itself needs very little. The projects uses what they needs to store files on the drive and as much memory that it can make use of to do the work. Some projects have very low requirement and others need more to be efficient. There is only a problem if too little resource is allocated or available. You can't force a program to use more than is required to get the job done.

Depending on how old the drive is the read/write speed may slow processing slightly, again it depends on the individual project's need to store/update information.

And to change the location of the installation, just un-install, and then re-install, this time looking for the Advanced button. (On screen 3, I think).
There are options there for selecting the location of both the program and the data sections.
