No matter what I seem to do in terms of restarting the client or suspending and resuming the work, the status of my project under the work tab is always "Activities suspended". Can anyone help ?

Do you have your preferences setup to suspend during certain hours?

Check the Commands menu too; step one, set that to "run always" and make sure the problem disappears. Then try "based on preferences", and if it stops work, you know it's something in your webpage prefs...

There's a project specific suspend button, too, in the projects tab. All too easy to click on that by accident.
