A quick question about the prioritisation of tasks within BOINC Manager 6.6.28. I'm currently doing work for the World Community Grid. Today's date is 24 May 2009. The next tasks on my list has a deadline of 7 June 2009, but at the bottom of the list there are two tasks which have a deadline of 25 May 2009. Now you'd think it would smart to do the tasks with the earlier deadline of 25 May before any of the others, but BOINC Manager doesn't think this way, and it simply starts the next task with the deadline of 7 June, ie tasks are done on a FIFO basis. Why?

Because it's designed this way: to handle tasks FIFO unless one task is in real deadline trouble; then this task is run in high priority mode (earliest deadline first) until BOINC deems it out of trouble again.
