Has anyone run boinc [any project] completely on a ramdisk? The hard disks seem to be constantly thrashing and I believe the over all performance would improve if run totally in a ram disk. Hints tips, or faqs anyone???

Do an Advanced search using the 1 year range.
It's been talked about several times.

As for the thrashing, it could just be that you don't have enough ram for the project(s).

plenty of Ram, 8 Gigs on dual zeon m/b and presently ONLY dedicated to running seti@home. have battery back UPS, However some kind of program hook and or script would be nice for regularily off-loading/back-up of any intermediary files.
