G'day from Australia.
I run a few versions of BOINC on a number of Windows XP PC's at work. (as well as home). NONE of the work PC's are connecting to any project to report or get work since we changed our Firewall provider.

I built a new PC last week and installed 6.4.6 on it but was not able to connect to any project.

I am able to get to any of the project websites using IE/Firefox.

Does the client use a different port? If so, what would it be? I can get it enabled in the firewall. That is an easier option than changing settings in Options as there are about 30 PC's to visit to change.

The standard HTTP and HTTPS destination ports are used (80 and 443). There are a lot of other rules a firewall could be using to block the traffic, but my best guess is a User-Agent whitelist. If it has one make sure "BOINC client" is allowed.
