I recently installed BOINC 6.4.5 on my Windows Vista Home Premium edition laptop. It runs great under my administrator account, but it doesn't seem to run under my normal user account (which is what I have logged in 99% of the time).

BOINC is running in the services control panel and I can see it in Task Manager if I select "Show processes from all users." The BOINC tray icon appears on my task bar.

However, the BOINC tray program shows a red mark and when I hover over it, it says "Not connected to a client." I did some reading around and folks seemed to think that it meant I needed to connect to localhost using the BOINC Manager.

So I start BOINC Manager via the BOINC tray icon. I go to the advanced view. Then I click on "Select Computer". I type "localhost" (without quotes) in the window that opens. It then returns the error "The password you have provided is incorrect, please try again."

The thing works just fine under my administrator account, just not under my non-administrator account.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
