Hello to you generous calculators,

I am totally new to this community and I came here following the advice of a friend, I hope you won't find my demand too bold.

I have designed a program, simulating natural selection in an environment made of 100 go players. Each participant defines a neural networks that play go and that can entirely mutate. They affront each other in a tournament where they play 4 games each, and the 50 winners get to reproduce, while the 50 losers are destroyed.

After each generation, every contestant suffers random mutation, and another tournament begins.

Now, one of the advantage of natural selection is that it can largely be paralellized. The idea is that anyone can run the tournament on his own computer. At the end of each generation, journeys occurs during which two players are randomly selected in the local pool, and automatically sent to a ftp server hosted by directransfer.net for now. Similarly, two random players are selected from the server to the local machine. Thus, genetic movement is assured and allows efficient mutation to spread over the network, waiting for the next.

I assume the reason of my post is now rather obvious : I am looking for volunteers helping me make my player pool evolve. So please feel free to ask if you have any further question, I will keep you informed with the technical details if any of you is interested.

To download the whole program, you can use my own ftp server :

Just in case some of you are more interested than what is suggested by the non-reactions I provoked, I have published a blog explaining my project : http://goia-hephaestos.blogspot.com/
