After a long time when I was not able to use BOINC at work due to firewall problems, I finally managed to get it working. Unfortunately now, after every reboot some (?)configuration file content (which one is it?) overwrites the proxy name and port with the username and password (from the same form), so Boinc can't get internet accesss until I "repair" the settings. This behaviour kept persistent through several Boinc-manager upgrades.
Has anyone got any clues for me?
Thanks in advance

First I'd have to ask, do you have permission from your work to run BOINC?

not explicitely ;-)
but as I have to leave my computer on because I have to use it remotely when telecommuting ( I connect to a citrix machine, and from my profile to my pc)
I do not feel ashame to run boinc. As I have to reboot very seldom, it is simply a question of comfort of giving boinc the rpoxy name again & again & again.
I'm almost certain the problem has something to do with a configuration file, where the wrong entry always overwrites the settings in boinc manager.

regards Max

P.S:sorry for replying so late, I thought I would also get an email if there is an answer
