I'm not quite sure what this is all about, but I saw PM mentioned. So, I want to ask if anyone ever tried to send a "left arrow" (<-) in PM.

The last time I tried it (on SETI, I believe), the whole message after and including the left angle bracket, up to the next right one (>) was treated as a comment, thus disappeared. However, only in the sent message, not in the preview, where I would have seen it before sending. Gladly I use to include my userID in the address when sending PM.

XML tags (and any other use of < - >) are now getting through the PM system correctly here, at SETI Main, and at SETI Beta.
