I participate in CUDA MB tasting now and discovered that when SETI beta was paired with SETI main there were 4 SETI MB tasks from SETI main + 1 CUDA MB task from SETI beta running simultaneously.

Now SETI beta paired with Einstein@home that have onle 3 tasks on that host (getting new work disabled) and there are 3 einstein tasks + 1 CUDA MB tasks running simultaneously.

Why BOINC doesn't add one more task from SETI main to completely utilize processing power of quad + GPU ?

If this is with BOINC 6.4.4 or 6.4.5 then do know there is a bug in the work scheduling module that the developers are trying to get out.

Since BOINC 6.4 is nowhere near finished or ready to be released to the public yet, plus none of us (populating these forums) are using the CUDA option, you'd probably better follow the news on the GPUGrid forums.

The CUDA tasks also need some CPU time, 40% of a core for SETI. So you may see varying numbers of CPU tasks running. I would expect the norm to be 3 + 1 for a quad.

@Ageless

Yes, it's V6.4.5
I used V5.10.45 before but had to upgrade as my version was not appropriate for CUDA app. Thanks for redirection, will try to get some info there.

@Keck_Komputers
With standalone runs this CUDA app consumes only ~5-8% of CPU time.
My first GPU task finished with less than 2 minutes of CPU times (but it took almost whole day in 4+1 configuration).
In 3+1 configuration 4th core almost idle, I can see that in task manager.
