Hi there,

After a few months of "BOINC-absence" I decided to install the up to date version and have it churn away in the background. I installing BOINC 6.2.18 (GUI version) and at first it seemed to run fine for a while (a few days). Then it suddenly ran in to problems, and now repeatedly crashes within 5 minutes of running.
Even after moving the old "BOINC Data" directory, and installing it again I ran in to the same problem.
The only file I could find showing any tangible data would be stderrgui.txt.

Here it is:
connect: Connection refused
connect: Operation now in progress

I've got the BOINCManager.app window open on one spaces in Leopard. I never really look at it but the window's open in the background. I'm guessing going in to Exposé or changing the Space I'm working on could cause the crash, seeing as that seems to somewhat coincide. When I was using 5.10.x that wasn't a problem though...

So far I'm running the development version 6.3.23 which seems to be running without a hitch.
Any ideas?

I asked the developer about this, he's tried to reproduce it but so far hasn't been able to. It may have been a corrupt BOINC manager, so in the interest of debugging that, could you download a fresh copy of BOINC and install that? See if you can reproduce it with that?
