The most obvious is that the program is not a true screen saver - there is a static logo at the bottom of the screen, and the original purpose of the screen saver was to constantly change the image so that nothing got burned into the monitor.

Secondly, I have some issues with the installer, or rather the uninstaller. I accidentally installed it to put the data files in the wrong folder, and after digging around the advanced options I could find no option to move the data folder, so I uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled. Well the uninstaller permanently deleted everything in the folder that I mistakenly used, including files that had nothing to do with BOINC.

Fortunately I already have a data recovery program and I was able to get those files back, but not everybody knows how to do that.

I also found that I had to re-install several times to clear up some issues, and eventually the BOINC program install folder grew to 3GB after uninstalling. After manually deleting that folder and installing again, it finally works properly.
