I am installing on a Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz with 8gigs of RAM and Windows XP Pro 64bit and can not get past the "Configuring Windows Installer" part of the install. It makes it that far and closes and it doesnt matter if it is after a fresh restart or not it still does it.

Are there any compatibility issues with 64bit?

Thanks

Are you sure your Windows Installer service is all right? Have you tried downloading BOINC 6.2.whatever again? It may be you had a corrupt installer.
