I'm using BOINC client 6.2.19 and nVidia video driver 178.24 (WHQL). I've got two GeForce 8800GTS 512MB cards running in SLI mode.

When starting up the BOINC client, this is what it says in Messages:

10/24/2008 11:15:54 AM||Starting BOINC client version 6.2.19 for windows_intelx86

There's no mention of CUDA devices detected. I've looked in my WINDOWS\System32 folder and nvcuda.dll is there. Couldn't find anything in the FAQ or Wiki, so I thought I'd post.

Am I just overlooking something? Was there something I was supposed to check when I initially installed the BOINC client?

BOINC 6.2.x doesn't have CUDA support. It was added in 6.3

I know it's a test version, but I'll be happy if someone could help me.

Because you're probably using the wrong driver. You need the CUDA enabling drivers. See http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_get.html for the driver.

I guess the problem is that you installed BOINC as a service (protected mode)?
On Vista it is necessary to not install BOINC as a service, to make it recognize the GPU...
