I don't know if this has been posted already but BOINCView doesn't work with the v6.3.10 GPU Client.

It will monitor the PC with v6.3.10 installed but doesn't/won't send a signal to it or the v6.3.10 Client it's self won't accept the signal sent.

I say that because I saw a message saying "GUI RPC request from non-allowed address 192.168.1.109" so I added the 192.168.1.109 part to both directories created by v6.3.10 in the remote_host.cfg file. Now I don't get the message but nothing still happens when I send a signal to the PC from BOINCView.

Is there something I need to add to the 192.168.1.109 part like host or url or ??? & which directory should the Remote_Host.cfg file be installed in ???

The remote_hosts.cfg file should only be in the BOINC Data directory, not in the BOINC directory.

Hey Dag, it's named remote_hosts.cfg & always has been & it's located in the same directory as the client_state.xml. I've tried the 192.168.1.109 & the name of the Box which has always worked that way but it doesn't work either way. It monitors the box ok but the signals don't get through to it as far as I can see anyway.

Does BOINCView list the tasks you've got running/cached on the machine running 6.3.10? If it does then at least one RPC command (signal) is getting through, namely the command to send a list of tasks and their status.

Yes, it Monitors the Box Just fine, updates the Wu times ect, but if I send a command to the Box like Report a Finished Wu then nothing happens.

I mean NOT the \BOINC\ directory with boinc.exe and boincmgr.exe, but the Data directory with all the xml files.

Also make sure you only filled in the IP address. No return at the end of the line, unless you have another IP address added as well. The IP address that is in there should be the address of the computer you are using BOINCView from.

And change the password in the gui_rpc_auth.cfg on the computer you're monitoring from.

Tried that & it didn't work ...

Making it easier perhaps, not to use the 32 character password made by BOINC.

Unless I'm wrong in my thinking the Password in the Monitoring Computer has no bearing on Monitored Computer, it's the Password in the Monitored Computer that needs to be entered in the Computer listing for the Computer being Monitored in order for BOINCView to Monitor it.

BOINCView is doing that just fine so it sees the Computer, it's the Commands from BOINCView to the Monitored Computer that don't get thru to it for some reason, theres no response at all from the Monitored Computer when a Command is sent to it.

Okay Thanks Dag, I'll wait for the next release then, Charge 1 Lunch on me then ... :)

Not a big thing right now, I'm not running the GPU Part anyway yet because some DH is running around creating Accounts using my e-mail address. So when I go to Create an Account the Project will tell me that e-mail address is being used already and the Password I'm using isn't right.

So then I have to contact the Project & try and get my already created account switched over to me or access to it so I can change the Password. I posted about it early this morning but nobody's responded yet.

So I'm in Limbo, I had to create another account just to post in the forum, I don't want to use that account to process the Wu's because the Credit wouldn't go into my regular PoorBoy Account if I did ... 0_o

Put it on your tab, again? Well, after a quick look-see, you now owe the Company 16.2 trillion credit. When are you going to start paying them? ;-)

No, it's a deep night here already, a drink would suit better ;-)

I've found one eventual way who might be running around and creating your accounts - well, damned, a new way of account name spam? Possibly everything can be misused. PoorBoy, see my response over on PS3GRID.net, although I'm aware it will not help you much :-(

And still no ETA for BCC 6.3.11 in sight...

How about letting the good people who are attending the Workshop come back first, before they have to go to work again?

Why? They can still enjoy France (while finishing 6.3.11) and come back later ;-)

I think you'll find that Rom hasn't got much equipment with him on his well-deserved vacation. Besides, I made him promise not to look at anything BOINC for all his vacation, bar those few days at the Workshop. ;-)

Yes I read it already Pepo, I deleted the Account at the BOINC Teams Site I had, I thought I had already done that some time ago but apparently not, but I'm sure it's gone now anyway.

I assume you've deleted your team over there, but you write "Account". How did you delete it? (As usual, cou can possibly just rename it to some junk and empty the email address.)
