I've been running BOINC on a recent build and lately it's been locking up my system. I tried throttling the CPU in BAM (down to 80% then 60%) figuring that it's overheating (not indicated by my sensors in Linux)

What should I look at or do next?

I'm running 6.2.15 on Ubuntu 7.10, P4 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM.

Perhaps I should find a way to create a log before it crashes.

The log is created automatically in stdoutdae.txt.
If you want to extend the logging options, you could use cc_config.xml. More informations on that are here.

It seems to be running stable at 50% throttle.
