HELP ~ When Windows screen saver starts BOINC ceases all work. On restarting the screen BOINC remains shutdown; cannot even open BOINC at the logo on the Task bar. I have to go to 'Start' then select BOINC Manager from there to activate it. The BOINC logo on the Task bar still remains inactive. Is there anybody out there who can help please? Am operating Ver 6.2.16 under Windows XP, T/Y

Upgrade to 6.2.18 and see if that one still does it.

Did as you advised and upgraded to Ver. 6.2.18 BUT sorry to say the problem still exists.

What about using the blank screensaver or none at all?

Hi Gundolf, Thanks for your response. As an update to BOINC program not working after screen shutdown, this also occurs when the screen-saver is activated whether it be the Windows s-c or the BOINC s-c.
If it is of any assistance the current error message/s that appear in Messages are:
"1:39:57p.m. BOINC can't access Internet-Check network connection or proxy configuration.
1:40:43p.m. Sending scheduler request ......
1:40:49p.m. Scheduler request failed: Couldn't resolve host name."
Started BOINC from 'Start' in the Task-bar & everything came back AOK. The BOINC logo in the Task-bar was inoperative as per normal.
And yes, my network connections are working perfectly as per normal.
