I just switched to the Boinc SETI from SETI-Classic and I already have 1600 lines of "Messages".

Do they age out, is there a way to trim them, or does the list grow forever?

Stop and restart BOINC. I think the GUI has a limit but I do not recall what it is.

THe good news for you is that they do accumulate so people like me that have questions when you have problems can look at your historical logs to see what is going on.
