I had a hard drive crash but have a copy of my BOINC folder from the failed drive. Can I transfer it to the new drive directly into Program Files and pick up where I left off, or do I have to start from scratch?

OS = Win2k, SP4.

I suppose your client is BOINC 5.10.20...

You can restore your copy of BOINC folder on new drive and then install the same version (or 5.10.45) into it. BOINC should then work fine and continue where it left.

If nothing changed between when you made the copy and now, you should be able to pull that off. By nothing changed, I mean, no work uploaded/downloaded.

Just put the copy in the Program Files directory and then install BOINC to that directory.
