after starting freshly compiled client from SVN it gives this error :


an application has made an attempt to load C runtime incorrectly

Which branch did you compile?
If trunk, which version?
Which projects did you attach to it, does it have project applications already? If so, which one was it trying to use?

I'm not so sure VS2008 should be used already. But... did you follow all the rest of compile client?

Devaster possibly managed to finish his client. For the others:

I've also faced these problems with VS2003. The problem was, all Berkeley-supplied DLL libraries (curl, ssl, cuda, etc.) were compiled with/for VS2005 environment and do not play nicely with VS2003 (and possibly VS2008 too) client/manager.

The solution was to download and compile these libraries from source code (which I did not manage correctly for curl+ssl and can't access WCG while running my own client)-:
