Primegrid's database has been repaired.

Or not... It still has massive problems. Willy is on to it, seeing if he can get it fixed in between his own work.

Milkyway@Home news:

March 20, 2008

Assimilator Updated and New Work Available
I've updated the assimilator to deal with some of the performance issues we've been having with it. You should see more work availability and hopefully we wont have results piling up that aren't assimilated. I've started up a bunch of new searches and hopefully the work will keep flowing faster than before.

For those that have LHC "issues":

Is there any site or resource that would yeild any information on their "maintenance" or when they'd consider helping the people who are now effectively given the choice of abandoning the project, or waiting on faith that they will help?

Is there any news on the LHC front? Work is flowing; however, the website is still down.

I have no trouble running 'Einstein' with either XP32 or UBUNTU but if I try to use XP64 I always get the message 'not available try later'

Regards

Seti@Home is down.

April 9, 2008
Due to minor but important database repairs we're taking the project offline for a few hours this morning (Pacific time). The upload/download servers and some web pages are offline during this time.

it's only the project web site that is down for maintenance. The project seems to run OK, scheduler is up, people get work, can return work and get credits.

Other than that, not a clue what's the matter there.

LHC@Home is back.

Hi,
Sorry about the sudden and lengthy suspension of the website. As you may have noticed work units were still coming and going so operation of the project was still ongoing. The reason for the suspension was CERN asked (read: told) us to remove some 'inappropriate content' which was spam within profiles of users. This was a bigger issue than originally thought and we've been searchin through profiles and purging the database when we've had time to do so. We are really sorry but this had popped up in the midst of a whole mess of other things (I've actually been away for most of it) and wasn't done very quickly.
Again thank you all for your patience and I got all your emails and we know it was CERN's open day etc etc.
Later days,
Neasan.

Cosmology@Home has further problems. Looks like database problems, interpreting the errors correctly.
