Hello,

Should I remove boinc that's installed from my distribution before upgrading to the new version that is detailed at boinc?
link is : https://boinc.berkeley.edu/linux_install.php?os_num=5&build=stable

Or can I just simply follow those instructions and it'll overwrite/upgrade the existing installation?

thanks.

When I did it it just overwrote the previous installation. I am assuming the previous version was installed via the package manager. If flatpack or installed by compiling from source I have sometimes had it throw up permission problems.
