In computing preferences what is your cache set to? If job cache is full you won't get more work from other projects. If you suspend the project with work does that let you get work from other projects?

Hooray!! I can now report that a number of my projects are showing work in the BOINC screensaver.

Thanks for all of the help.

I sure would like to know what I did to correct my errors, and I am sure that the problems were caused by me.

The last thing I did was to attach to PrimeGrid and it was after that when everything changed and all of the projects showed work in the screen saver. Even GPUGRID is working.

I am now very happy.

I wonder what will happen the next time I need to re-start the computer after Windows updates. I could experiment and re-start the computer right now but I am "chicken".

Thanks, but I cannot find a link to create an account anywhere on their main web page.
What can I do?

Thanks.

You are right, can't find way to create account directly from project website.

Guess the only was to create an account is to use the BOINC software via the "add new project" button.
When prompted, enter
http://www.rechenkraft.net/yoyo/

From there it should open up the registration page for YOYO in your default web browser to fill in the blanks and complete the process.

I recently removed a few projects but have seven left. I only have Asteroids work units here at the moment, I see World Community Grid work units from time to time, and a brief flurry of work from Rosetta once or twice a month. Generally, I think interest in BOINC as a platform for institutions is dropping. Folding@Home runs all the time, but is not BOINC based.
>>> They all have work available.
Maybe, but do they have work for your platform?

As far as I know, none of the BOINC projects are active on folding@home. They are 2 different pieces of software/programs that have their own interface.

I know, that is what I said. I was simply giving the OP a suggestion for something he could add to his system if he wanted to be running something other than Asteroids. I have it running on this machine, at the low setting, it co-exists with BOINC without any issues.

moo wrapper seems to have work fairly consistently. I just have that, Rosetta, WCG and CPDN on my box at the moment and Moo is the only one that has always had work over the past few weeks. I am also getting the odd testing task from CPDN which may or may not be a prelude to work on the main site.

I am attached to seven projects:
Asteroids@home
Climateprediction.net
Einstein@home
GPUGrid.net
LHC@home
Milkyway@home
Rosetta@home

All projects have default Computer Preferences.
I confirmed the attachments and Computer Preferences several times.

Only Asteroids@home is showing work in the BOINC screensaver.

This is not what I signed up for. I want to see work in the other projects. They all have work available.

What is wrong here? What do I need to do?

What happens if you disable the screen saver and only show work in progress?

Can you remove the offending projects and then add them? I've had to do that several times with other computers.

Four of my projects have been behaving strangely.

Rosetta has not sent any tasks for over a month.

Milky Way now only sends N-Body simulations that run 9 PUs. These tasks force all my other projects to hold, waiting to run.

In addition to normal Binary Radio Pulse search tasks, Einstein also sends All-Sky Gravitational Wave 03.1.07 tasks every day which run 0.9 CPUs+1AMD/ATI GPU. Sometimes these indicate extraordinarily long times for completion, as much as 330 days. I delete those.

Every day, in addition to regular Period Search Application tasks, Asteroids sends at least one task that runs 0.1 CPUs + 1 AMD/API GPU. Normally, this machine can run up to 10 tasks at once. But if one of these Asteroid CPU/GPU tasks is running, it will make my compute overheat and shut down. It will run the Milky Way and Asteroids CPU/GPU tasks simultaneously, but nothing else when they are running.

And FreeDC Has not been working for over a week.

I don't know about your other projects.

CPDN has lots of work for windows machines at the moment. There is testing going on for Linux.
