This has only been available for a few days. It is using BOINC version 7.16.16.
I have got it to work but;
1) it does not retain the work done, when computer shuts down you start each work unit from zero on restart.
2)It does not self start and you need to start the client manually via command line and then you can access client via Boinc-Manager.
Any help would be appreciated.
Overall the new RaspOS based on Debian Bulls-eye is great!

Before closing down right click on a task and look at properties. It should tell you the time since last checkpoint. It may be the task hasn't reached its first checkpoint. Another way to look at this is to enable checkpoint debug in the event log options and look there.

The boinc-client service is disabled by default in the Debian 7.16.16 package so it won't auto-start when you boot, apart from the first time you install it. Use the "sudo systemctl enable boinc-client" command to set it to auto start, without the quotes. To start it manually you can use "sudo systemctl start boinc-client".
