I tried to install version 5.2.5 on my WIN XP pro sp 2 and during the installation process i ever get the error message: " Error 1706 No valid source could be found." I have downloaded the installaton package 5 times. I ever get these message after the installer asked for a network resource. But the file boinc.msi is not on a network drive. Itïŋ―s on a local hard disk. After i have manually choosen the boinc.msi file the error message is given out, that i mentiond above.Microsoft only solve the problem, if it is in an office installation.
What can i do?Thanks for your support.
