I've been running rosetta@home for a number of years now. On this machine since sept 2019. Since the suspension of seti rossetta is the only project whose data packages I've been processing. As of last week Finder has been crashing on an hourly basis. I've tried to find the fault by excluding processes to bare minimum and then reintroducing them one by one. The fault reappears with the reintroduction of boinc. When running boinc everything appears normal four workloads are current each being processed. I presume babysitting the app and trying to see what it's doing when the finder fault appears is the next step. I presume the fault must occur on a timed basis due to communication between the client app and the server. Does anyone have any advice on where in particular I might look or how I should proceed to resolve the fault. I have searched for information on this fault looking to understand why me, why this, why now? But I've not found any other reports of it. Thanks. Protennoia

Do you run any other projects besides Rosetta? If not, then the problem might be with the Rosetta tasks - it has some faulty tasks on occasion.

Your best thing is to check out the recent posts on the project forums Number crunching.
The topic most likely to be addressing your problem should be found in the most recent posts of Rosetta 4.1+ and 4.2+.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm not running any other tasks since seti was suspended. I'll take your advice and check with rosetta. regards Protennoia
