Great.
Ukraine belongs in EU, Commission chief von der Leyen says
β€˜They are one of us and we want them in,’ European Commission president says.

Uh... no we don't. Stop pulling us into this war, woman.

Worried Liz Truss is pulling us into it too.

Better site than Fligthradar24 as this page allows to follow only military planes - as long as they have their transponders on, that is.
It's quite busy in the skies over Eastern Poland.

Thanks Jord. That site is much better than Flightradar24, when it comes to finding military planes.

Today all our Internet Service Providers blocked Sputnik and RT.com - a thing easily circumvented by using a third party DNS like 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 - to be in concordance with EU regulations. Not blocking it is an offense, it would seem. Not sure what circumventing it is. πŸ˜‰

Meanwhile our gasoline prices went up a further 11 cents since yesterday, at gas pumps on the motorway you now pay €2,45 per liter E95
The LNG price also went through the roof. For a while there, prices were €345 per MWh, later going down to around €255,- .. Mind, in January they were €70,- per MWh.
Then the grain price increased by 6%, bread is already becoming a very expensive commodity people can't buy anymore.

Our government is looking into things and will let us know within the next 4 weeks if they're going to help us or not. But we shouldn't expect much. A lot of overhead was spent on corona, the coffers are empty. Yes... because they've put 60 billion euros in two hobbies they want to solve: climate and nitrogen.

No country in the world has a problem with nitrogen, but we do and damn you, we'll solve it. By buying out all farmers and shoo'ing them out of the country. We're not allowed to drive harder than 100 kph either so we don't expel so much nitrogen. Planes you say? Planes don't expel nitrogen, or not that much according to the great thinkers here. No, anything above 3,000 feet they won't count, so planes are exempt. πŸ˜‚
(In reality, the "nitrogen report" a couple of years back was written with the wrong calculations, but because our government doesn't want to cop to that, they're continuing on with those wrong numbers. We even have a Minister of Climate and Environment. Yes.)

But at least you should've invested in nickel, as when you did before today you're now a multi-millionaire. The price of nickel skyrocketed to $100,000.- per metric ton before the LME stopped trading it. Let's see what's next.

Well, Trump's brother has resigned...
...still hanging in at No 10.
It's been suggested that he wants to stay there until he has his wedding in Chequers.
Wonder what lying con-artist will take his place?

The BBC now understands the party will not be held at Chequers.

A government source tells the BBC "nothing had been 100% firmed up" and an alternative location will be used.
Another case of Boris opening his mouth before thinking. I wonder which donor will pick up the tab for that 'alternative venue'?

Anyway, now that excuse has crumbled, what else will he find to hold on for?

Why do people accept our freedoms being taken away?
Because some other people abuse the freedoms that would otherwise exist.

I'm beginning to think the Americans have the right idea with guns.
They have had a mass shooting every week this year! As for driving at 100MPH, that belongs on a race track with or without other vehicles present. Anyone losing their license for driving at such speeds deserves it. - Both for stupidity and for the risk involved these days when it is so easy to find out where the speed cameras are.

Or the freedom to drive at 100mph. Get us into trouble IF we crash
Glad to hear that you can guarantee to resurrect the people you crash INTO.

Don't forget that if your car is fairly new (post about 2000) the engine management and vehicle management computers log speed and relative time. I can't remember how long the memory is, but I think it's a couple of hours "live" (driving) data, plus absolute maximum "ever". So in the event of a serious accident plod will download those computers and see what speed you were doing. And if there was a serious excursion above the legal (highest) maximum speed one expect the hear plod's cash registers ringing and all sorts of other things coming along in their wake.

The trouble with modern society is people don't like tiny risks. The other trouble is they believe the media, when a government study actually showed that only 4% of accidents involving fatalities or serious injuries involved excess speed.

Anyway, there is precisely zero the government control freaks can do to prevent me speeding.

A stay in jail would woek,
