Hi!
For my atomic pi, I wanted to try out Peppermint OS. It's 32 bit or 64 bit.
Since the main difference for 32 vs 64 bit, is RAM, and the Atomic Pi only has 2 GB of it,
I thought it might be a good idea to go with the 32 bit image; since it'll save on some system resources.

How does Boinc handle the 32 bit environment?
If I do swap over, will there be any compatibility issues with projects?

You will have one advantage and that is that you don't need the 32bit compatibility libraries that you would need to run 32bit applications on a 64bit CPU with a 64bit Linux. 32bit BOINC can run 64bit applications as well, but I am not sure if this requires just a 64bit CPU or that the OS also needs to be 64bit.

I know that apart from openIFS which has been in the testing branch of CPDN all their applications are 32bit. I don't have a clue for other projects though. - However CPDN is the only project I have had crashes on due to missing 32bit libs. Be interesting to know which other projects require them. (It may vary between app types on the project. Some of the libs that have been needed in the past certainly don't seem to be required for all cpdn work though I install the lot as routine just in case.

You don't need the 32bit compatibility libraries if your Linux is 32bit. I just checked: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_BOINC#64_Bit_Considerations
