Recently I thought that BOINC on my laptop was not reporting results properly. I uninstalled it (and forgot to note the version) using the uninstall program, and removed the related files. When I try to reinstall, no matter what version it either:
- Grays out all menu items
- Will not connect (choosing localhost does not fix the issue).
- Gives a daemon error.
It was running SETI and WCG

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro9,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i5
Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz
Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 4000
Type: GPU
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Dynamic, Max): 1536 MB

System Version: macOS 10.13.6 (17G12034)
Kernel Version: Darwin 17.7.0
Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
(There are two users on the laptop that are both setup as admins)

Hoping first to figure out what version I should be using, then be able to update this thread with any further issues.

Thanks for any assistance!

I was able to get it working on both accounts with the current version, using the run as service .sh script.
