After so many exo planets have been discovered and we know there must be billions more, I wonder why there is not even one exo planet project here on Boinc (like automatically comparing astronomical photos,e tc.).

There are no photos to compare. They can barely detect that they exist at all, which is usually done by detecting the slight dimming of the star as the planet passes in front of it.

BOINC is not needed to do the light curves. A single PC has enough computation power for that.
The Kepler data set is public. Have at it.
