Opera Browser and BOINC 7.10.2 Ubuntu18.04

From the research I have done this seems to be an issue the latest BOINC. If I install Opera it removes BOINC and vice versa. I believe this is due to a library incompatibility but don't really understand it. If I install the development version of Opera the problem goes. Is there an alternative simple solution that allows the current release of Opera to be used alongside BOINC? |

That usually means package dependencies have conflict. A GUI package tool might be able to tell you what the conflict is but I don't know how because I rarely use them. A sudo apt install opera from Terminal should list conflicting packages. |
