I've looked everywhere, tried all apps out there but they all fail. I have multiple hosts with very different OS, Windows, Android, Rasperry PI, I'm looking for a way to if not control them at least view them from my PC desktop as it happens too often when a hosts will cease to work for different reason and I would prefer not to go through them one by one as the number of android devices will grow.

Is there something out there that will allow to at least view different hosts/OS boincs?

By the way, this is my second post since... 2008 :D

The biggest problem with monitoring Android devices is that everything is stored in hidden directories you can't get to, unless you root those devices (root/data/data/edu.berkeley.boinc/*). Because you'll have to add a remote hosts configuration file or start the client with a switch. All things not easily done on bog standard Android.

Having looked into this, though, there may be one program on Android that can do this, but I haven't tried it, don't know it.: AndroBOINC. You may want to look up how to set it up on its Github pages.

Yeah I'm afraid that Adro is a fail in regards to controlling or even viewing other hosts, something about it not having been updated in a long time and not supporting modern versions of Android.

It's just way complicated to manage different hosts and different OS's and it'll get more complicated because I want to have 6 android phones, 1-2 rasberry pi's and my desktop+laptop pc's. Without the ability to view I cannot see who's stalling on the work, I gota go through each device and see where the problem is.

I’m using BOINCtasks running on a Win7 laptop to control my hosts. Was originally a mix of Win7 and Linux. Now they’re all Linux. Even have Raspberry Pi’s in the mix. The problem with the Pis is you need to give them fixed IP addresses because they don’t seem to broadcast their name on the network like everything else does. In BT you put their IP address. You still need to put a gui_rpc_auth and remote_hosts file on each cruncher. If you have a firewall you also need to allow the BOINC port access.

I also tried BOINCTasks but they don't see any of my android hosts.

The official Android version does not allow remote control. NativeBOINC might if it works on your device.

NativeBoinc has the same problem as the other, I believe, presume it was abandoned and lack modern updates as it doesn't work for recent versions of Android. At least, but my current 5.x+ version will not work according to what I was reading about NativeBoinc and above v5 android platforms.
