Since some days the BOINC Manager doesn't connect to localhost. I perfomed the upgrade to 7.8.2 but the issue still exist. I even reinstalled MacOS. Error Message: BOINC Manager can't connect to the BOINC Client.
Any idea how I can get back my computer to support my BOINC projects?
Many thanks in advance, Dirk[/img]

Yeah, after the (felt) 246. re-installallation attempt (I always deleted all files, even the ones which must deleted manually) IT RUNS from now on. I'm back for crunching.

Eric, it seems really as a kind of little fight who's stronger - you or the Mac. Usually I never give give up. I re-installed MacOS (cmd + R after reboot). Before I uninstalled BOIN with Uninstaller and then deleted also the data files in "/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data" (the folder). That was at the end successful but lost all current calculated results.
Good luck or better much success, Dirk

If either one of you have joined CPDN do know that they currently have a problematic batch of task that crash on Linux and OSX and take down BOINC client as well.

If CPDN sounds familiar you might want to set it to No new tasks until a new BOINC version that can handle CPDN's crashed tasks is available.

See the discussion in 7.8.2 client crashes immediately at startup (macOS 10.12.6) for more details and instructions on how to make the client running again while you wait for the new BOINC version.

Dirk, thanks. I took a shortcut and using BOINC uninstaller removed current BOINC. Reinstalled BOINC and using project manager BAM reinstalled projects. Success! working fine after 1st 24-hous. Thanks again.
