I have BOINC running on four computers in my workplace. I found out that in two of those the % of time BOINC client is running is ~ 5% whereas for the other two it is about 70% , even though I have set the same preferences ( run always ) for all four and all the computers run for about 8 hrs on weekdays. Can anybody please explain the reason behind this and also suggest ways to increase the running time.

Without you stating what project or projects you are running, it's only a guess. But a lot of projects out there run variable run-length of results.

I am currentely running Einstein@home & LHC@home on all the computers with equal resource sharing. For the second one no workunits are being sent at present. So number crunching is going on only for Einstein@home.

Read Information about the new S5 workunits, a thread on the Einstein forums.
