Manager is stuck on retrieving current status. Getting this in BOINC:

"File ownership or permissions are set in a way that
does not allow sandboxed execution of BOINC applications.
To use BOINC anyway, use the -insecure command line option.
To change ownership/permission, reinstall BOINC or run
the shell script Mac_SA_Secure.sh. (Error code -1022)
logout" Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling , but no good. Any ideas?
Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3
BOINC 7.6.34
Seti, Pogs, Einstein.

If you haven't fixed this yet, download a fresh copy of BOINC and reinstall that.
It's also possible you need to rerun the Mac_SA_Secure.sh after you ran the Mac_SA_Insecure.sh script.

Keep getting permission denied when running these scripts. Uninstalled and reinstalled program again also.
