... by students ...Clever people, students - I was one once. And with lots of spare time on our hands during the long summer holidays. |

Ah...... still damn clever, and why Wiltshire?? How many Uni's there?I had a summer job one student year at the Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Harwell*. If that isn't in Wiltshire, it ought to be - I couldn't name the alternative, because of its association with the Other Place. * That's the peaceful one, not to be confused with AWRE Aldermaston. |

That has to be one of the best "Rag Day" pranks of the last century :-) However, not much has changed in the past 50 years with regards to the attitudes of the authorities :-( ""One of the saucers when they actually drilled into it, because it was full of this compacted, sort of papier-maché mess, actually exploded and showered the police officers with this stuff. "If it had been some kind of radiation hazard, how would they have dealt with that? It would have been a disaster area. "And what did they do? Just washed it down the drains."" Oh & their response to getting caught with their pants around their knees? "Press cuttings from the time reveal official sources "tended to be snappy" when questioned about the hoax." |

Don't forget Boscombe Down. I had a certain level of security clearance for some stuff that I supported at one point. If I told you I would have to shoot you :-))That's OK, I'll pass, thanks. My work at AERE wasn't secret. I was doing some modelling work on global oil pollution for an outpost of the Department of the Environment that was based behind the wire. On my first day there, they gave me a copy of the Club of Rome's "Limits to Growth" report: that was my primer for the 'DYNAMO' programming language we were going to use. I see the copy still on my shelf was published and copyright March 1972: this must have been around June-July 1972, so that pretty much counts as a first (popular paperback) edition. |

First stage - find a co-operative farmer who is about to have to plough a crop in.... |

If it was signed by the authors it might be worth summat on Ebay? No, the project team was based at MIT in the states (as was the programming language). There were contributors from Germany, India, Iran, Norway, and Turkey, but not one single Brit. They gave me the London edition of the paperback, priced one pound: I don't need to get that back. |

Second stage - Farmer gets pissed off with all the anoraks tramping up and down his muddy lanes and all over his fields. No: Second stage - Night is selected and and crew assemble and "do the deed". Farmer reports "strange lights in field" and the appearance of crop circle to local press. National press get hold of story through "sources". Third stage - Sit back and watch the fun, listen to all the theories about how the circle was formed. Forth stage - Farmer rubs hands, charging press for "exclusive" interviews; mugs to stand in the middle to "feel the energy". |

Conspiracy Theories, here's one for you to discuss. US Navy Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Jimmy Carter, returning to port in Washington Tuesday, flying the jolly Roger. Why did one of the U.S. Navy’s most advanced subs return to port with a pirate flag? |

So why did a U.S. submarine return home observing an undoubtedly British tradition? Hey, stop having a go at our cousins Navy, they have been doing the flag thing since WW2. And I like a country where the Navy is older than the country. |

Just saw this story in the express , "Phoenix lights " ? Or the " Belgium wave " ? or just the TR-3B making another appearence BAIT diggers working on a beach said they were ordered off it by armed military personnel moments after seeing “triangular-shaped” UFOs. http://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/855977/UFO-aliens-Wilsthorpe-Incident-Yorkshire-bait-diggers-military The Phoenix Lights was a mass UFO sighting which occurred in Phoenix, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico on Thursday, March 13, 1997.Lights of varying descriptions were reported by thousands of people[2] between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles (480 km), from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights The Belgian UFO wave began in November 1989. The events of 29 November would be documented by thirty different groups of witnesses, and three separate groups of police officers. All the reports related a large object flying at low altitude. The craft was of a flat, triangular shape, with lights underneath. This giant craft did not make a sound as it slowly moved across the landscape of Belgium. There was free sharing of information as the Belgian populace tracked this craft as it moved from the town of Liege to the border of the Netherlands and Germany https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgian_UFO_wave The TR-3 Black Manta is the name of a surveillance aircraft of the United States Air Force, speculated to be developed under a black project. The only known confirmed evidence for such an aircraft is based on speculations about several reported sightings of mysterious flying wing aircraft over Antelope Valley, an area of desert in southern California. This stretch of desert draws people interested in potential "black project"-related aircraft, because it is close to several known military research and testing areas, such as Edwards Air Force Base in California, and United States Air Force Plant 42 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TR-3_Black_Manta[/quote] |

It is the same as the conspiracy theories surrounding Princess Diana's death Unless you're a avid daily Express reader that was a R.T.C / R.T.A whatever the police call them now , just a accident that happened . I don't think there's much more to that but some people think it was another car involved , motorcyclist with a handheld strobe light alongside the car etc . Remember where I was , stuck in Ipswich A&E coz had got a bit of metal in me eye with Arc eye as well and was on the tv in the waiting room . |

I'm not even going to try to say anything... Anythings possible plenty of them got away to Argentina , Brazil etc and it's never been 100% proven that it was Hitler or Eva Brawn's bodies that were found burnt in that courtyard outside his bunker , then again he may of gone to Antarctica ( newswarbaland or whatever they called it ) ;-) , there's a connection to " Die Glock " there if you look . |
