Have walked, will now go for a long drive. Make that two days at least.

It's not moderators, it's not administrators, it's you. Look in the mirror.

Many have stood up for this country, past present & will do so in the future. You have denigrated many that have done so. Your problem is that you don't like your country's dirty laundry aired in public. You'd much rather it be dealt with behind closed doors.

Maybe if you posted less of your homophobia, you would get a better response.

I am quite sure that Jord has just made his previous post in retaliation because I posted a written letter of complaint about his moderation style, direct to David Anderson at the SSL, via signed for international letter post.
Since I didn't know about this until you just posted this, I take it that you're accusing me of a Future Crime? I must say, what Sirius wrote here is now quite correct, you can't take moderation at face value without seeing it as a threat.

You forget in all your anger that I do moderate this thread, but only when I do see grand conflagrations happening. Some posts have been removed, others are just left there. All of yours are still intact, even though you flame-bait & flame (back) when the other party has taken your bait, and attack people on their opinion and character, not on their discussion. For the interest of the discussion though I leave most everything standing, just the real attacks and potty-mouth's posts will go.

You so want to get rid of me as a moderator here, ever since I managed to get on your bad side, but I still haven't seen one good reason as to why. Just because you feel that others on this forum talk back to you? Perhaps you want to check out what the meaning of a forum is again? If you do not want that people talk back at you, well, put that in your signature. Maybe that they'll read that and acknowledge it (but then don't complain if people start to ignore you). You accuse me of siding with people here, but again that's all in your mind.

These aren't the 'everyone is against Chris' forums, that's just what you make of it. Probably because you're bad at having discussions, or you always feel the overwhelming need to win. And if you cannot win, you whine and start throwing threats and accusations around, and throw tantrums and thrash things. At the end of those episodes you feel that the whole world (forum) is against you, that they are after you, you want other people banished, you want moderators replaced.
If then nothing of that sort happens, then the next train starts rolling, and you start emailing (and now snail mailing) people that you're the snow white person who is on the end of the stick of all these differently coloured people and they are all wrong, they need to be gotten rid of, badly.

I also haven't seen you suggest a good replacement, unless you want Kath and Chris to take over... but have you noticed they don't post in these threads? That's because they don't read here at all, and they don't need to.

As David once told me, every few months someone complains about my moderation. It has happened in the past, it'll happen again in the future, I'm not too worried.

Stop this now.
Another threat?
I also asked you the other day to ask for help, and if you were already getting that, to ask them if your medication was set correctly. You do need professional help that we here at these forums cannot give you. You see problems, conspiracies and attacks where there are none. Please, for your own sake, seek help!

(edit: the NHS URL didn't want to play ball, so removed that for now)

Your police leak info to a private citizen person whose job is to make money fast and then are upset? Oh that's right, over there all press is run by the government. If you don't want it on the front page don't leak it!

Apparently all information about terrorists is passed openly and immediately between 'the 5 eyes' and in this case the leak was in the US, not in the UK.

Then you know the name of the person who leaked, otherwise you are just blowing steam.

Jord, are telling us a person who was permanently banned from Seti for trying to take over the moderation there is now trying to do the same here at BOINC? As they say history repeats. At least DA will remember who and I'm sure give the proper weight to that person. Just a shame that any UNI resources will have to be wasted upon this, especially as some of them are my tax dollars.

Well I've e-mailed David Anderson putting myself forward as a temporary moderator to assist while others are away. It would be amazing if the offer was taken up. I can see this board's signature playing in my head already...

Message 78293 - Posted: 26 May 2017, 18:53:37 UTC - in response to Message 78278.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd has denied cuts in police numbers made the Manchester bombing more likely. A member of the studio audience on BBC's Question Time said Theresa May had been warned of the dangers of cutting in frontline police numbers. It had undermined the ability to gather intelligence on possible threats, it was claimed.

Ms Rudd said most intelligence came from community leaders rather than the police. She said: "I have asked the head of counter-terrorism whether this is about resources. It is not. "We must not imply that this terrorist activity may not have taken place if there had been more policing."

Sad, sad, sad. Friends fighting, Mods being badmouthed. The saddest thing is, we are all basically on the same side.
The saddest thing is, when I would like to meet with a fellow Setizen and that person chooses not too, based on a beef with another Setizen. Not fair to me. I know shit happens, but remember, I am ME and have my own opinion. Even if I do not share your view, I still agree to disagree.

So can we pipe down on the flaming please!!

Rise in hate crime.

This what I feared would happen as a backlash.

Was guarentted it would happen by people who don't understand and don't care about who they blame for what's happend , it's just a excuse for them ain't it ??
Probably the weather don't help much , People who can't handle their drink 2 " shandly's" at lunchtime in town then kick off .
happens here so in the towns / city's would think it was a bigger problem .
Teenager tried it with me yesterday , shame i had him on the deck asap and must of been emarasin in front of his " crew" to be taken out by a one legged cripple ;-)

Something I believe we all agree on.

Why can't they see that their behaviour actually helps the so called IS, hate crime can actually turn some of the younger more easily influenced minds towards radicalisation.

Very sad.

I remember whilst teaching at the 60+ club in Croydon, one of my students was a quite devout Muslim.

I know this because I went to his house several times to help with his computer and helped him find online Muslim prayer sties and save them also I know he prayed everyday.

After one of the previous "so called IS" outrages he was visibly upset and said to me. "This is not who we are, I do not recognise my my beliefs in what these people say and do"

Whilst it is unlikely, these people full of hate need to meet and talk to their targets.

In my 66 years on this earth I have yet to work out why there is so much hate all round.

I would suggest that it is mainly because it is religion based

What people FORGET is ANY religion was written by a few people to " give the masses " something to belive in" and maybe even " control " the masses but that's another disscussion and this ain't the right place for it .

All religions tell you no matter what they are is to try and lead a " good / peaceful " life.
Just that ANY religion can be " perverted " by some for their own ends .
Personaly i think religion is the " biggest con job " going and couldn't give a " rat's ar#e " what anyone thinks !!

Give people enough rope & they will end up hanging themselves, so dear lady, welcome to the real world. Everyone one has feelings, thoughts & opinions every day of their lives.

Define "Friend"
Define "Acquaintance"

Learn the difference between the two & life will be rosier for you.

Your views upon the validity of religion are noted Mark. But it has to be accepted that the facts are that 90% of the world of 7.5 Billion people, profess to belong to and follow one religion or another. Although the %age of Atheists and Agnostics is increasing as more people become disaffected with religion in the 21C. 150 years ago in the Welsh valleys the pulpit thumping preacher would dish out sermons of fire and brimstone every Sunday. If you weren't at Chapel, Monday morning the preacher would bang on your door to demand why. people wre rairoaded out of the village without a good answer. Later in Victorian times if you weren't seen at Sunday Evensong, you were ostracised from society.

I'm a bit younger than you Chris I'm 43 but there ain't ANY need to tell me what i already know , or to " speek down " to me like the quoted part of your post reads like to me ( and probably to others as well)
So i think ALL religions is a pile of "proverbial" that DON'T mean i don't belive individuals ain't got the right to belive whatever they want , When you try to tell me how to think then there's a BIG problem !
But when Religion becomes " twisted " by people for their own means and people don't understand about other religions you get what's been happening here for the last few years and probably the same in other countries . Know Europe has that problem .
I HAD TO take RE no opt out or anything and to be honest i couldn't see the point of it back then but now i see why we lernt bout all different religions , UNDERSTANDING and TOLLERANCE , that's what is missing from a lot of people the world over and untill things change , just be " the same shite , just a different day "
Maybe the way to start to put a end to the problem may be " integeration " NOT " little enclaves " of different cultures .
It's happend / happening in Ipswich so 99.99999999% sure it's the same all over the country and continents .
