Message 65910 - Posted: 9 Dec 2015, 14:25:51 UTC

Hello all,

After update from Windows7 to Windows10 my BOINC application doesn’t work properly.

When I open the application it says connected to localhost, I can see the tasks status as running, but in the web page no tasks displaying as running or finished etc…

I can´t see even the traffic exchange when BOINC is running so I think it doesn’t work. In my preferences I set all to 100% usage.

Use at most 100% of the CPUs
Use at most 100% of CPU time

Could you help me please on this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Please take a look at https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=8600 for what minimum information we need, and then at least tell us which project(s) you've got added.

Also, what do you mean by in the web page no tasks displaying as running or finished? Are you using the correct account?

Many thanks for your reply.

Boinc version I have is: 7.6.9 and OS is Windows 10.
Projects I have added are:
SETI
Climate
Einstein
Rosetta
LHC
Malaria

I have only one account and in the web I mean that when the BOINC app is up and running, before I could see the current tasks in progress, pending for validation etc, but now its always 0.
My user ID is 9999354

Thanks in advance

You would normally have a separate user ID number for each project - for instance, your user ID for this message board is 38312 (but you won't see any tasks here - you'd need to visit each project web site under the ID number appropriate for that site to see the work which has been allocated to you).

At Seti, yes. Not at the rest of the projects. You'll have a unique user ID at each of the projects.

As for why there seems to be no work downloaded according to the Seti account, that's something that you should figure out:
- When in BOINC Manager, Advanced view, Projects tab, what is the status of the Seti project (or any of the other projects attached that you want work from)?
- When in BOINC Manager, Advanced view, Activity menu, is anything here set to suspended?
- When in BOINC Manager, Advanced view, Projects tab, what is the name on the "Account" column?

When did you receive this work from Seti?

Is it past it's due date?

It is possible it has been completed by other wingmen, validated, then purged from the database.

Please post your Boinc startup from the Event Log, the first 50 lines should do.

In account column all is set my name Arsen.
The projects are not set as suspended, but the status column is empty.
I have checked the rest of the projects and can see old data records(credits) only.

Your tasks are late, they have been completed by your wingmen, reissued to new wingmen because your results were late, then validated, and purged (removed) from the Boinc database,
You might as well abort any tasks you have on board, and get fresh tasks.
