Just upgraded to BOINC 7.6.9 on my Mac running OSX 10.7.5

BOINC is running fine, but the screensaver just says:

"You cannot use the BOINC Screen Save with this version of Mac OS X.
Please contact the vendor to get a newer version of the screen saver"


Well, this is the newest version. Does this mean that BOINC no longer supports OSX older than 10.8? 10.7 is the newest OSX I can run on my old Mac Pro.

The short answer is yes. Apple made enough changes in Mac O/S that legacy support is dead. I'd suggest you downgrade to an older version of BOINC.

The developer for the Mac has posted a new recommended release, 7.6.10 that has a fix for this problem. You can download it from the normal download page.
