My BOINC-client doesn't use GPU though all settings are propper. I test in such way:

1. I suspend (pause) all the projects.
2. I resume a single project which can use ATI GPU (I tried to do it for the following ones: MilkyWay, WCG, Collatz).
3. In a linux console I enter:
while true; do aticonfig --odgc --odgt| grep "GPU load"; sleep 1; done;

4. I wait a little. GPU is always not utilized at all:
GPU load :    0%

I received the message in the manager from MilkyWay:

ATI GPU R600 (R38xx) does not support OpenCL

My system really supports OpenCL, I checked via a compiled application ("MonteCarloAsianMultiGPU "). This application is an example of OpenCL-application from AMD ATI Stream SDK 2.9.1 for 64 bit Linux (i. e., the latest stable).

I suppose that BOINC "does not see" that the system can support OpenCL.

How can I fix the problem?

OS: KUbuntu, 14.04, 64-bit
Video card: ASUS R7240-SL-2GD3-L
GPU: ATI Radeon R7 240

GPU driver: the last from the manufacturer - AMD Catalystâ„¢ 14.12 Proprietary Linux x86 Display Driver. The driver was installed in way "Install" (not "Build"), i. e., without compiling any deb-packages.

How can I fix the problem?

By persuading the Milkyway project to update their server software.

Or else, you can write an app_info.xml file to define the project's own application using the Anonymous platform mechanism. There are examples on the MIlkyway message board for Windows users: I haven't seen one pre-written for Linux, but the principle is the same. Ask at the project.
